Crovie Exhibition 2026

For many years, David Ashley has returned to the remote cliff-foot village of Crovie on Aberdeenshire's north coast. Inspired by its dramatic scenery, rich fishing heritage and constantly changing light, this exhibition celebrates a place that continues to spark creativity and reflection.

This online collection features David Ashley’s latest photographic work, centred on the new Crovie series and accompanied by abstract landscapes . While the physical exhibition at 57 Crovie presents a wider showcase of David’s work, this collection highlights some of his most recent explorations of place, texture, light and atmosphere.

The Venue

This exhibition is taking place in No. 57, owned by Emma and Craig. The two artists are keen that Crovie should be a place where people can be inspired by its surroundings, while having a space to be creative; adding to the artistic tradition which has flourished here for over 50 years.
