"Where land meets sea, Inspired by years of visits to the historic fishing village of Crovie, this exhibition explores the landscape, heritage and ever-changing coastal atmosphere of one of Aberdeenshire's most remarkable locations.."
Crovie Exhibition 2026
For many years, David Ashley has returned to the remote cliff-foot village of Crovie on Aberdeenshire's north coast. Inspired by its dramatic scenery, rich fishing heritage and constantly changing light, this exhibition celebrates a place that continues to spark creativity and reflection.
The Venue
This exhibition is taking place in No. 57, owned by Emma and Craig. The two artists are keen that Crovie should be a place where people can be inspired by its surroundings, while having a space to be creative; adding to the artistic tradition which has flourished here for over 50 years.
Acknowledgement - Special thanks to Emma and Craig for their generosity and enthusiasm in making this exhibition possible.
A percentage of all exhibition sales will be donated to the Crovie Preservation Society, supporting its work to protect and preserve the unique character of this historic fishing village.
